Community Engagement

Community First. Culture Always. Empowering Connection Through Country and Care.

Cultural Programs & Training

We believe that cultural knowledge empowers people. That’s why we’ve created tailored programs that present Aboriginal heritage from an Aboriginal perspective. These include:

  • Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Induction

  • Cross-Cultural Awareness Training

  • Noongar Land Management & Caring for Country

These programs explore the spiritual and ecological responsibilities of the Noongar people, including biota, fire and smoke, medicinal plants, and water protocols. All are recognised by industry leaders for their authenticity and impact.

Cultural Ceremonies

As part of our commitment to culture and country, IES facilitates traditional ceremonies that mark and honour significant project milestones:

  • Smoking Ceremonies

  • Sand Casting Ceremonies

  • Welcome to Country Speeches

These ceremonies are opportunities to educate and introduce others to the cultural significance of land, community, and spirit.

Supporting Our People

Following the 2023 Strategic Planning Workshop, we focused on improving communication with our operational teams—particularly within IES Enviro Clean. As a result, we:

  • Enhanced support for staff facing personal and family-related challenges

  • Introduced flexible work arrangements and access to wellbeing resources

The results were profound:

  • Cleaning staff revenue increased by 100%

  • Heritage services revenue grew by 400%

This is more than business—it’s transformation through cultural pride and economic independence.
